Whitehall is located in Lehigh County, PA, and according to the 2000 census the population was 24,896. This township is made up of 12.8 square miles of total area, all of which consists of land except for 0.2 square miles of which consists of water. It is a suburb of Allentown and is located in the state's Lehigh Valley region. The climate of this township falls into the humid continental climate zone. This leads to cold winters and hot and humid summer months.
There are several attractions located in Whitehall Township. The Lehigh Valley Mall is located here, and it is the largest shopping mall in the Lehigh Valley. Other popular destinations include the Ironton Rail Trail and Mulligana's Family Golf Center.
